Osborne. After her marriage to Prince Albert, Queen Victoria felt the need for a family residence in the country. "It is impossible to imagine a prettier spot" wrote the Queen after a visit to Osborne. In 1845 the royal couple purchased the property. It is in the Isle of Wight.
