THE CHANNEL linking FRANCE to ENGLAND. 150 km of tunnel have been bored through the rock beneath the channel bed. Two one-way railway tunnels (one on each direction), Each 50 km in length, 7.60 metres in diameter, connected to the service tunnel every 375 meters.
