Madonna Inn. A Family Tradition.
Moonshining was a way of living for many folks during the Prohibition Era. Most of the men who made moonshine did so to help raise their families when times were hard. With a little copper tubing, a copper boiling tank and holding barrels, a moonshiner could change corn into (distilled) corned whiskey. A replica of an old-fashioned still in the bath, and a facsimile of a copper boiling tank (wood was used to heat the boiler) are fun conversation pieces in the rook. Hidden amid the rocks in the hilltop unit, the Cabins Still has rock floors, rock shower & basin and a king bed.
